Sakha, the design studio founded in 2017, with an intention of designing a research based, inherent, user responsive and contextual solutions; celebrating the art called Architecture.

The studio is involved in multi-disciplinary collaborative practices with the core team qualified to work into the disciplines of Art, Architecture, Interiors, Architectural conservation, urban design, urban planning and landscape design. We incorporate research scholars in the design process, making our design journeys an opportunity to learn, craft creativity, researches and innovativeness, as need be.

We at Sakha, believe in a process that is filled with innumerous exposure of interactive learning, brainstorming, conceptual and contextual thinking, experiments on testing the creativity and feasibility of design solutions.

Through meticulous restoration and thoughtful preservation he brings forgotten structures back to life while protecting the stories they hold. This talk explores the value of patience, craftsmanship and responsibility in safeguarding cultural heritage for future generations. Sandeep Sanjeev Pathe is a Conservation Architect and Designer, currently working as the principal architect for Multidisciplinary studio, Sakha’. He completed his Graduation from Institute of Design Education and Architecture Studies (IDEAS), Nagpur and Master's Degree, in the Architectural Conservation, from School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal. As a Principal Conservation Architect, Sakha today is working on significant conservation projects with archeological and tourism departments of seven states, that include Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh,Goa, Jammu and Kashmir and Maharashtra. Ar. Pathe is also a profound author, having published a varied range of research papers on heritage, architecture and Culture. He is a life member at INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage). Since 2014, Sandeep has been a regular blogger, his blogs are popular among the youngsters as ‘The Sunday blogs’. Nagpur, a city that has undergone transformation in every century since its inception. In the twenty-first century, it has emerged as a bustling metro city, yet the current development trends threaten its unique identity. This loss is particularly evident in its historic walled city character, with only a few remnants remaining as evidence of its former glory. The studio endeavours to re-envision a time when the city's boundaries were defined by walls, gateways, and bastions, with the goal of revitalizing and honouring this facet of its heritage.

The summer studio aim to document the undocumented, the workshop include a 10 day long (10th May 2019-19th May 2019) documentation program lead under the expertise of conservation architect, where student participants aim in documenting the unlisted, undocumented heritage properties majority of which are in private ownership and are unlisted as a significant heritage of city.

The summer studio aim to re-imagine the character of a selected historic precinct in the 10 day long workshop (10th May 2019-19th May 2019) which include the documentation, surveys, architectural research program lead under the expertise of conservation architect, where student participants try to develop the character which used to exist in past.
